- Shrimp, peeled and deveined300g
- Lá Giang (Giang leaves)80g
- Pineapple chunks1 cup
- Cherry tomatoes, halved1 cup
- Bean sprouts100g
- Tamarind paste1.5 tbsp
- Garlic, minced2 cloves
- Fish sauce1.5 tbsp
- Sugar0.75 tbsp
- Vegetable oil1 tbsp
- Water1.2 liters
- Saltto taste
- Black pepperto taste
- Green onions, choppedfor garnish

Boil water and add tamarind juice (prepared as in traditional recipe). Bring to a simmer.

In a separate pan, sauté minced garlic in oil. Add cherry tomatoes and cook briefly. Add this mixture to the simmering broth.

Season the broth with fish sauce, sugar, salt, and pepper.

Add shrimp and pineapple chunks. Cook until shrimp turn pink and opaque (about 2-3 minutes).
