- Okra100g
- Lemongrass paste (or 1 stalk)1 tbsp
- Tamarind soup base (or paste)2 tbsp
- Fish sauce2 tbsp
- Chicken or vegetable broth1.2 liters
- Chili slices1-2
- Saltto taste
- Wateroptional, for thinning
- Fresh herbs (e.g., cilantro, mint)small bunch
- Rice vermicelli noodles200g

Prepare ingredients: Cut catfish into bite-sized pieces. Slice okra. Chop fresh herbs.

Start the broth: In a pot, combine chicken/vegetable broth, lemongrass paste, tamarind soup base, fish sauce, and chili slices.

Boil broth: Bring the mixture to a boil. Season with salt to taste. Add water if the broth is too concentrated.

Cook catfish and okra: Add the catfish pieces and okra to the boiling broth. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, until the fish is cooked through and okra is tender-crisp.

Add herbs: Stir in the fresh herbs just before serving.
