- Fish sauce2 tbsp
- Sugar1 tsp
- Black pepper1/2 tsp
- Salt1/2 tsp
- Cornstarch1 tbsp
- Eggs1
- Tomatoes, diced400g
- Tomato paste2 tbsp
- Vegetable oil2 tbsp
- Water1/2 cup
- Cilantro, chopped (for garnish)2 tbsp
- Green onions, chopped (for garnish)2 tbsp

In a bowl, combine ground pork, chopped shrimp, minced shallots, minced garlic, fish sauce, sugar, black pepper, salt, cornstarch, and egg. Mix well until thoroughly combined.

Form the mixture into small, bite-sized meatballs (about 1-inch diameter).

Heat vegetable oil in a large pan or pot over medium-high heat. Sear the meatballs until browned on all sides. Remove meatballs and set aside.

In the same pan, add diced tomatoes and tomato paste. Cook for 5 minutes until tomatoes soften.

Return the meatballs to the pan. Add water and bring to a simmer.

Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 20-25 minutes, or until meatballs are cooked through and the sauce has thickened.
