- Lamb shoulder, cut into cubes600g
- Potatoes, thinly sliced700g
- Onion, thinly sliced1 large
- Garlic, minced3 cloves
- Olive oil2 tbsp
- Vegetable broth150 ml
- Saltto taste
- Black pepperto taste
- Plain yogurt200g
- Fresh dill, chopped2 tbsp

Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).

In a bowl, toss lamb cubes with 1 tbsp olive oil, salt, and pepper.

In a separate bowl, toss sliced potatoes and onions with the remaining 1 tbsp olive oil, minced garlic, salt, and pepper.

Layer half of the potato and onion mixture in the bottom of a baking dish. Top with the seasoned lamb cubes. Cover with the remaining potato and onion mixture.

Pour vegetable broth over the layers. Cover the baking dish tightly with foil.

Bake for 60 minutes.

While the casserole bakes, prepare the sauce: mix yogurt, chopped dill, and a pinch of salt and pepper.

Remove foil from the casserole. Bake for another 15-20 minutes, or until potatoes are tender and the top is lightly golden.

Let the casserole rest for 5-10 minutes. Serve topped with the yogurt sauce.
