- Smoked sausage (e.g., Kielbasa)250g
- Onions1 large
- Carrots1 medium
- Garlic2 cloves
- Vegetable oil2 tbsp
- Smoked paprika1 tsp
- Tomato paste1 tbsp
- Bay leaf1
- Fresh parsley2 tbsp, chopped
- Saltto taste
- Black pepperto taste
- Water or Brothas needed

Peel and chop potatoes into chunks. Slice the smoked sausage. Chop onions and carrots. Mince garlic.

Heat vegetable oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add sausage slices and cook until browned. Remove sausage and set aside, leaving drippings in the pot.

Add onions and carrots to the pot and sauté until softened, about 7-8 minutes.

Add minced garlic and smoked paprika, cook for 1 minute.

Stir in tomato paste and cook for another minute.

Add potatoes, bay leaf, salt, and pepper. Pour in enough water or broth to cover.

Bring to a boil, then reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 30-35 minutes, or until potatoes are tender.

Return the cooked sausage to the pot. Stir in fresh parsley. Remove bay leaf and serve.
