Ingredients
- Pork belly1 kg
- Soy sauce1 cup
- White vinegar1/2 cup
- Garlic1 head, cloves separated
- Whole black peppercorns1 tbsp
- Bay leaves3
- Water1/2 cup
- Vegetable oil2 tbsp
- Saltto taste
- Black pepperto taste

Cut pork belly into 1.5-inch cubes.

In a pot, combine pork belly, soy sauce, vinegar, garlic cloves, black peppercorns, bay leaves, and water. Bring to a boil.

Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 45-60 minutes, or until pork is tender. Stir occasionally.

Remove pork from the pot and set aside the sauce. Heat vegetable oil in a separate pan over medium-high heat.

Sear the pork cubes until browned on all sides.

Return the pork to the pot with the reserved sauce. Simmer for another 10-15 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly.
