Ingredients

  • Ceremonial Grade Matcha Powder2g
  • Hot Water (175°F/80°C)60ml
  • Whole Milk (or preferred milk)180ml
  • Sugar or Honey (optional)1 tsp

Steps

    Sift the matcha powder into a matcha bowl (chawan).

    Add the hot water to the matcha powder.

    Whisk vigorously with a bamboo whisk (chasen) in a 'W' or 'M' motion until frothy and no clumps remain.

    Gently heat and froth the milk separately.

    Pour the frothed milk over the matcha mixture.

    Add sweetener if desired and stir gently.
