Ingredients
- Sirloin steak4 pcs
- Butter4 tbsp
- Garlic4 cloves, minced
- Saltto taste
- Black pepperto taste
- Cooking oil2 tbsp
- Frozen peppers and onions16 oz
- Frozen potatoes1 lb
Steps
- 1
Pat the sirloin steaks dry with paper towels. Season generously on both sides with salt and black pepper.
- 2
Heat 1 tbsp of cooking oil in a large frying pan or cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering. Add the steaks and sear for 3-5 minutes per side for medium-rare, adjusting time for desired doneness. Remove steaks from the pan and let rest on a plate.
- 3
While the steaks rest, add the remaining 1 tbsp of cooking oil and 1 tbsp of butter to the same pan over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- 4
Add the frozen peppers and onions to the pan. Sauté, stirring occasionally, until tender and slightly browned, about 8-10 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- 5
While the vegetables cook, prepare the frozen potatoes according to package directions (e.g., bake in the oven or air fry).
- 6
In a small saucepan or microwave-safe bowl, melt the remaining 3 tbsp of butter. Stir in the minced garlic (if you have extra, or use some from the sauté pan) and a pinch of salt and pepper. Heat gently until the garlic is fragrant.
- 7
Slice the rested sirloin steaks against the grain. Serve the steaks topped with the garlic butter sauce, alongside the sautéed peppers and onions and prepared potatoes.
