Ingredients

- Crushed Tomatoes28 oz can
- Vegetable Broth1.5 cups
- Tomato Paste1 tbsp
- Dried Basil1 tsp

Rinse red lentils.

Finely dice onion and carrot. Mince garlic.

Heat olive oil in a saucepan over medium heat. Add onion and carrot, sauté until softened, about 5 minutes.

Add minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds.

Stir in tomato paste and cook for 1 minute.

Add rinsed red lentils, crushed tomatoes, vegetable broth, and dried basil. Stir well.
