- Pre-made chili paste (sambal tumis)3 tbsp
- Shallots2
- Garlic2 cloves
- Tomatoes1
- Okra5-6 pods
- Water1.5 cups
- Saltto taste
- Sugar1 tsp
- Vegetable oil1 tbsp
- Spring onionsfor garnish

Blend shallots and garlic into a paste. Chop tomatoes and okra.

Heat oil in a pot. Sauté the shallot-garlic paste until fragrant.

Add chili paste and cook for 2 minutes. Stir in tamarind paste and water. Bring to a simmer.

Add stingray pieces, salt, and sugar. Cook for 5 minutes.

Add tomatoes and okra. Cook for another 5 minutes until fish and vegetables are tender.
