- Mackerel fillets500g
- Pineapple1/4
- Red chilies5-10
- Shallots6
- Garlic3 cloves
- Turmeric powder1.5 tsp
- Ginger1.5 cm
- Tamarind paste1.5 tbsp
- Saltto taste
- Water600 ml
- Cilantroa few sprigs

Grind shallots, garlic, turmeric powder, and ginger into a paste.

Cut pineapple into bite-sized pieces.

In a pot, combine the spice paste and water. Bring to a boil.

Add the mackerel fillets and pineapple chunks. Simmer for about 15 minutes until fish is cooked.

Stir in tamarind paste and season with salt. Add red chilies.
