  • Garlic, minced4 cloves
  • Bird's eye chilies, thinly sliced (optional)2-3
  • Soy sauce2 tbsp
  • Oyster sauce1 tbsp
  • Sugar1 tsp
  • Saltto taste
  • Black pepperto taste
  • Water2 tbsp
  • Cilantro, chopped (for garnish)2 tbsp

    Pat the prawns dry with paper towels. Season lightly with salt and black pepper.

    In a wok or large skillet, melt 2 tbsp of butter over medium-high heat.

    Add minced garlic and sliced chilies (if using) and sauté until fragrant, about 30 seconds.

    Add the prawns to the skillet and cook for 1-2 minutes per side, until they turn pink and opaque.

    Push the prawns to one side of the skillet. Add the remaining 2 tbsp of butter to the empty side.

    Once melted, add soy sauce, oyster sauce, sugar, and water to the melted butter. Stir to combine.

    Toss the prawns in the sauce to coat evenly. Cook for another minute until the sauce thickens slightly.
