- Pre-made Bánh Xèo batter mix1 package
- Wateras per package instructions
- Turmeric powder (optional)1/2 tsp
- Cooked shredded chicken or pre-cooked shrimp1 cup
- Bean sprouts2 cups
- Scallions (chopped)2 tbsp
- Vegetable oilfor frying
- Lettuce leavesfor serving
- Fresh herbs (mint)for serving
- Nuoc cham (fish sauce dipping sauce)for serving

Prepare the batter according to the package instructions, adding turmeric if desired. Let it rest for 10 minutes.

Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Add 1 tsp of oil.

Pour about 1/2 cup of batter into the hot pan, swirling to create a thin crepe. Cook for 2 minutes until edges are golden.

Add a portion of cooked protein and bean sprouts to one half of the crepe. Sprinkle with scallions.

Fold the crepe in half and cook for another 1-2 minutes until crispy.

Slide onto a plate. Repeat for remaining crepes.

Serve immediately with lettuce, mint, and nuoc cham.
