  • Salt1/2 tsp
  • Ground chicken250g
  • Sliced mushrooms (fresh or canned)100g
  • Garlic powder1 tsp
  • Fish sauce1.5 tbsp
  • Sugar1/2 tsp
  • Vegetable oil2 tbsp
  • Fried shallots30g
  • Scallions1/4 cup, chopped

    Prepare the bánh đúc batter according to package instructions, adding salt and water. Steam in a greased 8x8 inch pan for 15-20 minutes until set. Let cool slightly.

    Heat vegetable oil in a pan. Sauté ground chicken with garlic powder until cooked through. Add sliced mushrooms, fish sauce, and sugar. Cook for 5 minutes until slightly reduced.
