- Fish sauce1.5 tbsp
- Sugar1 tsp
- Black pepper1/2 tsp
- Salt1/4 tsp
- Vegetable oil (for frying)3 tbsp
- Water1 tbsp

Process the squid: Place squid rings/pieces in a food processor. Pulse until finely chopped but not completely pureed. Add minced garlic and pulse a few more times.

Mix ingredients: Transfer the processed squid to a bowl. Add fish sauce, sugar, salt, black pepper, and 1 tbsp of water. Mix well until combined.

Form patties: Shape the mixture into small, flat patties.

Pan-fry: Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Fry the patties for about 3 minutes per side, until golden brown and cooked through.
