  • Pork belly500g
  • Pre-cooked quail eggs12-15
  • Fish sauce3 tbsp
  • Sugar1.5 tbsp
  • Shallots1 clove
  • Water150ml
  • Black pepper0.5 tsp
  • Salt0.5 tsp

Các bước

    Cut pork belly into 1-inch cubes. Mince shallots.

    In a pot, heat 1 tbsp oil (optional) and caramelize 1 tbsp sugar over medium-high heat until amber.

    Add pork belly and sear until browned on all sides.

    Add minced shallots, 3 tbsp fish sauce, 1.5 tbsp sugar, 150ml water, and black pepper. Stir well.

    Bring to a boil, then reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 30 minutes, or until pork is tender.

    Add pre-cooked quail eggs and simmer for another 10 minutes to heat through and absorb flavor.

    Season with salt if needed. Serve hot.
