- Pork hock1 kg
- Pre-cooked bamboo shoots300g
- Fish sauce2 tbsp
- Garlic2 cloves
- Black pepper1/2 tsp
- Water1 liter
- Saltto taste
- Scallionsfor garnish

Cut the pork hock into smaller, manageable pieces. Blanch in boiling water for 5 minutes, then rinse.

Slice the pre-cooked bamboo shoots if they are not already sliced.

Mince the garlic.

In a pot, combine pork pieces, bamboo shoots, minced garlic, fish sauce, salt, and black pepper.

Add water to cover. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat.

Cover and simmer for about 1 to 1.5 hours, or until pork is tender. Skim off any impurities.

Adjust seasoning.
