- Tteokbokki rice cakes400g
- Shrimp, peeled and deveined150g
- Mussels, cleaned100g
- Fish cakes (eomuk)150g
- Gochujang (Korean chili paste)3 tbsp
- Gochugaru (Korean chili flakes)1.5 tbsp
- Soy sauce1.5 tbsp
- Sugar1 tbsp
- Garlic, minced1 tbsp
- Scallions2 stalks
- Water or anchovy broth3 cups
- Saltto taste
- Black pepperto taste

Prepare the sauce base: Mix gochujang, gochugaru, soy sauce, sugar, and minced garlic in a bowl.

Cut fish cakes into bite-sized pieces. Slice scallions diagonally.

In a pot, combine water (or broth), sauce mixture, rice cakes, and fish cakes. Bring to a boil.

Reduce heat to medium-low. Add shrimp and mussels. Simmer for 8-10 minutes, or until seafood is cooked through and rice cakes are tender.

Stir in most of the scallions during the last 2 minutes of cooking. Season with salt and pepper if needed.

Garnish with remaining scallions and serve hot.
